Wilwood Billet Narrow Superlite 6 calipers incorporate all of the benefits of the Billet Superlite 6 Series calipers, with the added benefit of a narrow profile. Each caliper is precision CNC-machined from high-strength billet into three specialized configurations that cover a broad range of competition and sports driving applications. The key to their superior performance is their extremely durable and efficient body design. It is the product of FEA computer solid modeling and stress analysis technology. Full-length stiffening ribs and a reinforced radial transition from the piston bore housings to the closed-end bridges have produced the strongest caliper bodies ever built, according to Wilwood. When compared to open-bridge calipers that use tube or stand spacers between the body halves, the SL6 calipers' closed-end bridge design is measurably stronger, with less separation or deflection under load. Additional strength and deflection resistance come from the four high-strength steel end bridge bolts. A fifth center bridge bolt provides even more overall strength and easy access to the pads, without the need to remove the caliper from the mount. A unique 6-piston differential bore configuration provides balanced pad loading for even pad wear in sustained high-heat environments. These narrow SL6 calipers feature one-piece stainless steel pistons. Stainless is used for its slow heat transfer properties and high resistance to corrosion. These Wilwood Billet Narrow Superlite 6 calipers are primarily used in OE performance "Big Brake" conversion kits and other custom applications with extreme space limitations.

Product Overview

The 2nd generation of the Narrow SL6 series has been redesigned with Wilwood's latest technology. High strength Billet bodies with internal crossover passages allow the calipers to mount in either front or rear of spindle applications with same part number. With Same 3.50" centered lug mounting of original Narrow Superlite caliper. Each caliper is precision CNC machined from high strength Billet Forging with a re-profiled outer body that enhances wheel clearance and appearance. Calipers are available in Black, Red powder coat and a show quality polished finish to compliment any application.
