Description
As with all other areas in the valvetrain, the area where the spring sits also takes a beating. The old standard shims and/or seats simply will not hold up to the extreme pressures and high rpm found in today's performance engines. COMP Cams valve spring locators solve this problem and eliminate failures.

Made from hardened steel, these locators use an inboard locating shoulder to center the seat and hold the spring in place. The 4684 seat's 1.285" OD works well with our alve springs in ." guide applications.
