BluePrint Builder Series 302W/370HP Standard Edition crate engine and 4R70W transmission combos take away the hassle of properly pairing a carbureted Ford 302 Windsor mild performance engine and 4-speed automatic transmission for your build. These strong assemblies deliver 370 horsepower and 350 lbs.-ft. of torque with BluePrint aluminum cylinder heads and hydraulic roller camshaft to go with hypereutectic pistons, a steel crankshaft, and OEM-style connecting rods. The front accessory drive includes air conditioning and power steering provisions for the high strength cast iron block which features increased deck thickness and strength webbing. * Compression ratio of 9.5:1
* Camshaft offers 0.543 in. intake and 0.544 in. exhaust lift with 215 intake and 228 exhaust duration at 0.050 in. lift and a 112 LSA
* Stroke is 3.000 in. with 5.090 in. long connecting rods
* Block is a one-piece rear main seal, 4-bolt main setup with improved water jacket design
* Ford rotating assembly is machined and balanced by BluePrint (50 oz. external balance)
* BluePrint HP9009 cylinder heads provide a 60cc combustion chamber, 2.020 in. intake and 1.600 in. exhaust valves, plus 190cc intake/60cc exhaust runners
* Ignition timing is 34 degrees total at 3,500 rpm
* This combo also includes the 600 cfm carburetor, fuel pump, dual plane satin finished aluminum intake manifold, water pump, spark plugs/wires, valve covers, distributor (bronze gear not recommended), harmonic balancer, thermostat with housing, and a painted oil pan
* Spark plug model BPP7938 NGK 7938 BKR5E (0.750 in. reach, 14mm thread, 5/8 in. hex, plug; gapped to 0.035 in.)
* Harmonic balancer model BPP50 (50 oz., 6.4 in. diameter)
Transmission features and details include:
* Electronic transmission controller
* Overdrive 4-speed with lockup built to 650 horsepower
* Torque converter with 2,200-2,600 rpm advertised stall rating
* Flexplate (50 oz. weighted) and starter
* Gear ratios are 2.84:1 (first), 1.55:1 (second), 1.00:1 (third), 0.70:1 (overdrive), and 2.32:1 (reverse)
