Description

Melling high-volume oil pumps give you an additional 20 to 25 percent of much-needed oil volume for your performance application. For those of you who need added pressure, many pumps are supplied with a high-pressure spring (where noted). The pumps are built using a proprietary casting process, which yields maximum performance and reliability. Every Melling oil pump is completely pressure-tested, including idle and bypass pressure, before it leaves the factory. Dozens of models are available for fitment; order the pump and options needed for your vehicle.

DUE TO THE STRUCTURAL CHANGES THAT HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE M55HV PUMP BODY, MELLING RECOMMENDS TO USE MEL10550ST WHICH IS DESIGNED FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE AND RACING ENGINES.THE 10550ST FEATURES HARDENED STEEL PINNED GEARS, BLACK MAGANESSE PHOSPHATE COATING, PUMP USES 5/8 DIA. PRESS IN SCREEN ASSY. INCLUDES HD DRIVE SHAFT WITH STEEL SLEEVE AND AN EXTRA SPRING FOR LOW PRESSURE.
