Hays billet aluminum flywheels are popular with many road racers and serious drag racers--shouldn't you have one? They are manufactured from certified billet material to handle the stress of high rpm and the severe punishment of racing. Upgrade to a precision-machined and engineered Hays billet aluminum flywheel.
Features include:
* SFI-approved--legal for use in racing classes that require SFI certification
* Forged from 7075 T-6 or 6061 T-6 alloy for weight reduction and excellent heat dissipation
* Forged, heat-treated steel ring gears and replaceable 1045 steel friction surfaces attached with high-grade fasteners
* CAD-designed for optimum performance and reliability
* Offered in internal, external, or neutral (zero) balanced versions
* Available for a wide variety of engines
Note: When choosing a flywheel, remember that a heavier flywheel stores more energy. A heavy car requires more power (or inertia) to launch without bogging the engine and needs a heavier flywheel. Lighter flywheels create less inertia at launch but will accelerate faster through the gears.
