Description
Hays steel flywheels are engineered to handle extreme-duty applications and designed to take the punishment of today's high-horsepower engines. They are CAD-engineered and precision CNC-machined to strict tolerances. Available in weights up to 50 lbs. for specialized applications, most Hays flywheels are drilled with both the Borg and Beck and Long-style clutch patterns. Upgrade to a precision-machined and engineered Hays billet steel flywheel.
Features include:
* SFI-approved--legal for use in racing classes that require SFI certification
* CNC-machined from certified billet steel for maximum strength and durability
* CAD-designed for optimum performance and reliability
* Offered in internal, external, or neutral (zero) balanced versions
* Available for a wide variety of engines
Note: When choosing a flywheel, remember that a heavier flywheel stores more energy. A heavy car requires more power (or inertia) to launch without bogging the engine and needs a heavier flywheel. Lighter flywheels create less inertia at launch, but will accelerate faster through the gears.
