Description
Ordinary oil filters use only cellulose media, but Fram Tough Guard oil filters add microscopic synthetic fibers, creating small windows that trap microscopic dirt particles without affecting the flow of oil. Blending synthetic fibers with cellulose increases a filter's dirt-trapping efficiency and its dirt-holding capacity for higher levels of engine protection and longer filter life. Tough Guard filters are the perfect filter for drivers who push their vehicles in stop and go traffic, towing, and extreme weather conditions
Features include:
* Engineered for premium conventional and synthetic blend motor oil
* Synthetic blend filter media technology provides protection for up to 10,000 miles
* 99 percent filtration efficiency
* Sure Grip coating provides a non-slip finish for easier installation and removal
* Coil spring with glass fiber reinforced nylon poppet relief valve
* Silicone anti-drainback valve provides start-up engine protection-up to three times the hot oil resistance as nitrile valves
* Internally lubricated sealing gasket for easier filter removal
