Description
This dual 2.75" diameter into the mufflers with dual 2.5" out of the mufflers Cat-Back™ system features the aggressive ATAK® sound. It has a Merge X-Pipe for increased performance and improved sound. BORLA®'S advanced muffler technology allows us to provide a no drone guarantee on this system. Tips NOT included, this system utilizes the factory exhaust tip/ bezels. System features valves for the Selectable Driving Mode. BORLA® Cat-Back™ and Axle-Back exhaust systems feature patented straight-through and multi-core technology designed to unleash hidden horsepower. Increased exhaust velocity adds power, driving excitement, fuel economy, and the distinctive BORLA® Sound of Power respected by motoring enthusiasts everywhere. Each system is built from premium T-304 stainless steel, superior to T-400 series knockoffs (such as 409), to give you the absolute best in performance and durability. Product Overview
BORLA has announced the development of a revolutionary new exhaust technology that enables their engineers to deliver unprecedented vehicle-specific control over the acoustical note of an exhaust throughout the RPM range, while retaining 100% of the power-adding capabilities of BORLA’s patented Multicore design.
Called ATAK (Acoustically-Tuned Applied Kinetics), this exclusive technology (U.S. patent #5,248,859) produces the highest available dB (decibel) levels in the BORLA street-legal lineup, and is designed for high-performance purists who prefer exhaust notes over their stereos. The focus of ATAK is to pump the volume while retaining clarity of sound, at the same time avoiding the drone and distortion typically found in louder exhausts. With ATAK, the sound output is tuned like a graphic equalizer to shape and focus sound waves for optimum high-volume output.
The development of each ATAK system begins with extensive study of each vehicle’s acoustical properties. The technology is based on custom-tuned attributes of the internal muffler cores, which are calibrated on a vehicle-by-vehicle basis to deliver the most desirable sound. BORLA is now shipping Cat-Back and/or Rear Section ATAK exhaust systems for a wide variety of popular applications.
Like all BORLA exhaust products, each system is handmade in the USA by master craftspeople and features premium 300-Series austenitic stainless steel construction, mandrel bending by computer-controlled CNC machinery to ensure maximum flow and a perfect fit, mirror-polished tips, and a Million-Mile Warranty
