Description
Fully remanufactured transmission featuring the BD Valve Body! The BD Valve Body has many modifications to improve shift quality and extend transmission life. The valve body is equipped with a new heavy-duty governor pressure solenoid as well as an upgraded pressure transducer kit with twice the burst pressure as stock. The RoadMaster transmission also includes a deep sump oil pan for increased fluid capacity and cooling. Every 48RE RoadMaster transmission comes packaged with a BD ProForce Torque Converter.

BD's roots, however, actually date back to 1972, when Valley Fuel Injection, Ltd. first opened its doors. Today, Valley Fuel Injection and BD Diesel Performance are one, with eight specialty divisions that focus on diesel power train components: Fuel Injection Calibration Department, Exhaust Brake Manufacturing, Electronic Circuit Design and Assembly, Transmission and Torque Converter Design and Remanufacturing, Turbocharger Design, Installation and Research and Development.
