Description

Allstar Performance 30 amp relays are commonly used to control higher amp components such as electrical fuel pumps, cooling fans, or water pumps up to 30 amps. These relays will allow the use of a lower amp switch to turn on (or control) a component with a higher amp draw. They include a connector with a wiring harness and installation instructions. The relays are available as a standard or with weatherproof cover option—order the Allstar 30 amp relay to best suit your project needs.

#30 Terminal From 12V + power supply which is protected by a circuit breaker or fuse rated at 30 amps. #85 Terminal Connect to a good chassis ground. This may also be used as a switch to ground (i.e. for a horn) when terminal #86 is connected to a constant fused power. #86 Terminal Switched 12V + power from a toggle switch or controlled side of ignition switch. #87 Terminal Connect to 12V + side of component to be activated by switch/relay. i.e. fuel pump, cooling fan etc. #87A Not commonly used, this terminal has power until relay is energized. Five lead harness - 3 12ga & 2 18ga
